John Everette Davis, 70, died May 20, 2008, after a sudden illness.
Services were at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Liberty Cemetery.
Survivors included two daughters, Karen Armstrong of Corinth and J.J. Dillon (Ira) of Tupelo; four sons, Mike Davis, Allen Davis and Eric Davis (Georgye), all of Booneville, and Mitchel Davis (Jennifer) of Blackland; two sisters, Virginia Barger and Elizabeth "Liz" Kingsley (Joe), both of Booneville; four brothers, Junior Davis (Marie) of Quincey, Ill., James Davis (Lois) of Booneville, Jerry Davis of Baldwyn and Stanley Davis of Memphis; 12 grandchildren; his companion and friend, Betty Stone of Baldwyn; the mother of four of his children, Sally Davis of Booneville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin and Ora Mae Curtis Davis, and a brother, Fraiser Davis.
