Sidney Wilburn "Toby" Honeycutt, 73, died June 11, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Sept. 27, 1934, in Prentiss County to Sidney W. Honeycutt and Junie Carpenter Honeycutt. He was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church and a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed dirt track racing, gospel music, gardening and farming.
Services were at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the Jacinto Cemetery.
Survivors included two sons, Billy Honeycutt of Blackland and Steve Austin (Carolyn) of Bolivar, Tenn.; two daughters, Diane Grisham of Rienzi and Debra Overton of Olive Branch; one sister, Velma Moss of Burnsville; eight grandchildren, Joey Henley, B.J. Henley, Teddy Henley, Steven Austin, Greg Grisham, Brock Grisham, Chelsea Honeycutt and Hannah Honeycutt; a special nephew; two great-nephews; a host of other nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Brenda McAlpin and Cindy Wilbanks; two special friends, Mick Floyd and Clay Floyd.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Maxine Honeycutt, on Feb. 16, 2000; his parents; and four brothers and two sisters.
