Does anyone have a history of RATLIFF LANDING, in Sharkey County, Mississippi ? I am curious as to who it was named for.

1850 Census Attala County, Mississippi states birth in Mississippi ?
1860 Census DeSoto Parish, Louisiana states birth in Kentucky
Joseph & Sarah RATLIFF's Children were;
Elizabeth, Mary, William, Margaret, George, James Pickney (Pinkney), Greenberry, and Martha.
