Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I am searching for the ancestors to my husband's Buckley family. I find a lot of Buckley's in Mississippi but none are names that I am aware of.
Here is what I do know:
My husband's great-grandfather had 3 brothers: the oldest brother was Hope Buckley, then Leland Stanley Buckley, then Robert Earl (Earl) Buckley, then Alford Buckley.
I have found Hope on 1930 census Simpson, MS as head of household with Mandy & John Grantham (the boy's mother and her second husband) and brothe Leland and his wife and oldest daughter Lois. Later on the page in another household it shows R. Earl Buckley with his wife and 4 children.
I have exhausted my knowledge of searching to find out what the boy's father's name is (Mandy's first husband), likewise to find more about the brothers. I know Leland was in WII as he is listed on a 1920 military census and I was told that he died in a military hospital in Pearl, MS and his wife moved to Oregon with the daughter and their son born after the 1930 census.
Do any of these names tie into any research anybody else is doing?
