Services were held November 11, 1953 at the Drew Methodist Church for Mrs. Gertrude Daniel Boyd. Mrs. Boyd died Nov. 10 at her home in Drew after a long illness. She was born in Drew, February 24, 1903, the daughter of the late William J. and Daney Stokley Daniel, pioneer settlers of Drew.
Survivors included her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Wirt Dean Jr. of Marks, Mrs. Frank Monk of Belzoni, and Mrs. R. W. Arkinson of Drew; one brother, Dr. W. J. Daniel of Fulton; one sister, Mrs. S. S. Brevard of Drew and four grandchildren.
