Tutwiler - NELSON E. BROWNING, 81, a retired postmaster of Tutwiler and owner and operator of Browning Cotton Co., died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN. Visitation will be Friday, from 1-2 p.m.at First United Methodist Church in Tutwiler, MS. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Tutwiler, MS with burial in the Rosemound Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home inClarksdale is handling the arrangements. Mr. Browning was a graduate of Tutwiler High School and attended Delta State. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He was a very active member of First United Methodist Church of Tutwiler, MS. Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Weaver Browning of Tutwiler, MS; daughter, Rebecca Sandridge and her husband, Stan, of Memphis, TN; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Browning.
