I am looking for any information on A. J. and Mattie Hardin Huffman. They were married December 13, 1891 and had a child named Sarah Ophelia Huffman in March, 1896. A. J. must have died in the late 1890’s because in the 1900 census of Tallahatchie County, MS, said Mattie was a dressmaker and was a widow living with her daughter. I know that something happened after that because Sarah Ophelia was put in an orphanage in Yalobusha County and became a foster child to William and Mary Jones of Blue Springs, MS.
