Senatobia - WALLACE ANDREW "Hop" DURDIN, 82, passed away July 30, 2007. He was a DeSoto County Constable for 16 years for the DeSoto County Sheriff Department, worked with the Mississippi Highway Patrol Rest Area Security and was a member of New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He was a member and Past Master of Horn Lake Lodge 617, Horn Lake OES, Northwest Shrine, Miss York Rite and Scottish Rite. Visitation from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 1. Services at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 2, both at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home of Hernando, MS. Burial in New Bethlehem Cemetery, Horn Lake, MS. He was preceded in death by wives, Mildred Durdin and Lorraine Durdin; son, Larry Durdin; and two brothers, Larkin Durdin and Walter Durdin. He is survived by one daughter, Carol Durdin of Hernando, MS; two sons, Randy Durdin of AR and Andy Durdin and wife, Paula of Tate County; two stepdaughters, Brenda May and husband, Lee of Tchulahoma, MS and Gail Johnston and husband, Randy of Hernando, MS; two sisters, Ruth Moore of Cedar View, MS and Betty Benge of Byron, GA; five brothers, Wirt Durdin and wife, Beth of Ft. Valley, GA, James A. Durdin and wife, Joyce of Hernando, MS, Robert Durdin and wife, Janice of Luxahoma, MS, Joe Durdin and wife, Aline of West Memphis, AR and Henry Durdin of Independence, MS; nine grand-children; and seven great-grandchildren.
