Coldwater - IRVIN R. JENKINS, 68, went home to be with his Lord and savior on October 6, 2007. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 9 at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Coldwater where he was a member for 44 years. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Independence, MS. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Monday, October 8 at Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia. Mr. Jenkins was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was also a surveyor with a regular and professional license in land surveying. He had a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and held a Civil Engineering License. He is survived by his wife, Lee Jenkins of Coldwater; two daughters, Angelia Treadway and Teresa Atkinson both of Coldwater; one son, Jody Jenkins of Senatobia; four brothers, Nathan Jenkins of Alabama, Walter Jenkins of Nesbit, Lowell Jenkins of Byhalia and Stanley Jenkins of Coldwater. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
