I am the granddaughter of James Cocke and Martha (Goode) They were married in Tate Co, Ms in 1885...James was the son of Samuel M. Cocke/Cox and Dorcus (Festerman)who were married in Marshall Co,MS,1842...Samuel M. Lived in the surrounding area of Tate Co, Arcabulla, Senatobia, Independence, Holly Springs.
Dorcus died in Jan 1880 and Sam M. married again to Emma Mothershed...she was a widow and had four children from her marriage...Sam M. Died in 1896/98 in Independence,MS...Samuel M.Cocke and Dorcus had these children...Henry Harris Cocke/Cox
married Molly Langston,raised family in Tate Co,MS...James Alexander Cocke/Cox married Martha J. Goode, moved to AR & OK, ...Samuel A. Cocke/Cox, married Katie Burch, moved to TN...Leo Cocke, died before he was 20,unmarried...
