Independence - DIMPLE WALKER WILLIAMS, 93, widow of J.W. Williams, passed away December 22, 2007 at her residence in Independence, MS. Services will be held December 24, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Independence where she was a member, with burial following in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be at Pate-Jones Funeral Home Sunday from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Williams taught home economics for over 40 years in the public school system. She was preceded in death by her parents, Caswell C. and Ruth Walker; her sister, Ruth Ferguson Wallace and her brothers, Harry, Caswell and Bob Walker. She leaves two sisters, Mary Lewis of Senatobia MS and Ruby Gay Ferguson of Independence, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
