Arkabutla - DALLAS BRANAN, JR., 81, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired employee of the Army Supply Depot in Memphis, TN. passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto. Funeral services will be held Friday January 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. atPate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia, MS. with burial following in Evansville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 6-9 p.m. He leaves his loving wife of 61 years, Pauline Red Branan; three sons, Robert E. “Eddie” Branan and wife, Jean of Arkabutla, Steve Branan of Arkabutla, and Lee Branan and wife, Peggy of Southaven, MS; two daughters, Sandra McCrary and husband, John and Lisa Steward and husband, Wayne both of Senatobia; one sister, Betty Jean Holland and husband, Roy of Las Vegas, Nevada. He also leaves nine grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.W. and Delia Hale Branan; grandson, Bart Branan of Arkabutla; brother, J.B. Branan of Grapevine, TX; two sisters, Virginia Sinquefield of Arkabutla and Genice Chipka of Cleveland, Ohio.
