Senatobia - ORA PAULINE "Polly" BIZZELL NESTLE, 84, died in Manila, Philippines on November 24, 2007. Family, relatives, and friends of Polly Bizzell Nestle will be celebrating her life at the Hunters Chapel United Methodist Church near Strayhorn, Mississippi on June 14 at 2:30 p.m., followed by a committal service at the Singleton Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Nestle was preceded in death by her husband, Markalee H. Nestle of Manila, Philippines, a World War II veteran, and by her parents, Ira D. Bizzell and Vinnie Caldwell Bizzell of Strayhorn, Mississippi. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Richard Henry Bizzell, who died in the Philippines during World War II while a POW, James Raiford Bizzell of Houston, Texas, Ira Daniel Bizzell, Jr. of Forest Park, Georgia, and a sister, Georgia Bizzell Palmer of Canton, Mississippi, all veterans of World War II. Mrs. Nestle is survived by brothers, Lee Caldwell Bizzell and wife, Rose of Pace, Mississippi, Frank Marion Bizzell of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Virginia Ferguson Bizzell of Forest Park, Georgia; nephews, Ira Bizzell III of Tyrone, Georgia, Richard Palmer of Atlanta, Georgia, Richard Nestle of Wayland, Maine, Jim Nestle of Atlanta, Georgia, and Steve Nestle of San Jose, California; nieces, Kathy Leigh of Hernando, Mississippi, Lea Bizzell of McDonough, Georgia and Rita Hewell of Apex, North Carolina. After her service in the Navy, she graduated from Millsaps College and began a long teaching career that spanned more than 45 years. She began her career in Drew, Mississippi, then moved to Pensacola, Florida. She later joined the DOD Overseas Dependent School System and taught in Japan, Newfoundland, Morocco, Philippines and England.
