J.W. "Jack" Moore, 69, died March 27, 2008, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was born Aug. 30, 1938, to Christine Stephens Moore and John Trammel Moore. He was a retired fireman for the Jackson Fire Department and an Army veteran. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Ripley.
Burial was in New Hope Cemetery. Ripley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included one daughter, Lisa Moore White (Dale) of Jackson; one son, Justin Moore of Huntsville, Ala.; his mother, Christine Stephens Moore of Raymond; four sisters, Barbara Shedd of Brookhaven, Betty Wingo (Billy Zane) of St. Louis, Mo., Billie Yates (W.M.) of Blue Mountain and Bonnie Hall (James) of Brandon; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Trammel Moore.
