Mary W. Bell, 86, died March 31, 2008, at her home in Ripley. She was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Middleton, Tenn., to Callie Washington. She was a member of Bethlehem M.B. Church at Falkner and the church's Usher Board. She was a retired employee of Blue Bell. She loved to travel.
Services were at Foster & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley. Burial was in Ruckersville Cemetery in Falkner.
Survivors included one son, Earl Bell of Ripley; one brother, Delta Washington of Detroit, Mich.; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Bell Jr.; her mother, Callie Washington; two brothers, Booker T. Washington and Samuel Washington; and two sisters, Bessie Mae and Sue.
