Magalene Storey Vance, 72, died March 30, 2008, at the Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. She was born June 5, 1935, in Tippah County to Lonnie "Lon" and Ivory Storey. She was a member of Terry Street Church of Christ. She was retired.
Services were at Terry Street Church of Christ with burial in Boyd Cemetery in Ripley. Foster & Son Funeral Home of Ripley was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included two sons, Charles (Lori) Storey and Dematrice Vance; five daughters, Deborah (Elmo) Clark, Ethelene (Charles) Jackson, Lillie (Derrick) Dortch, Susan (Alan) Vance Mitchell, Sharon "Shea" Vance; one sister, Flora Simmons; one special daughter, Zelma Brown; two special sons, Tony (Daphane) Spight and Gary Mitchell; 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three children, Glenda Storey, Ruby Dale Vance and Robert "Squeaky" Storey; and five brothers and four sisters.
