Alta Ruth Graves Jernigan, 85, died April 5, 2008, at her residence in Memphis, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Memphis. She was
formerly from Ripley, Miss.
Graveside services were at Tippah Memorial Gardens with McBride Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one sister, Lillian Graves Rutherford of Ripley; a few nieces and nephews; two very special friends, Riley and Pam Gentry of Memphis.
