Pearce Alvis Paseur, 86, died April 14, 2008, at his daughter's home in Moscow, Tenn. He was formerly of Walnut. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio, with 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Moscow, Tenn.
Services were at Oakland Baptist Church in Walnut with the burial in Oakland Cemetery in Walnut. McBride Funeral Home of Ripley was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Mayou Tapp Paseur, whom he married May 30, 1942; two daughters, Fannie L. Paseur Wilkinson (Gerald) of Moscow, Tenn., and Nancy A. Paseur Laughlin (William) of Berlin Heights, Ohio; six grandchildren, Ron Wilkinson (Michelle) of Eads, Tenn., Kim Wilkinson Mullins (Perry) of Moscow, Tenn., Jason Laughlin (Diana) of Sandusky, Ohio, Brian Laughlin (Martha) of Attica, Ohio, Craig Laughlin (Katie) of Sandusky, Ohio, Wendy Laughlin of Berlin Heights, Ohio; six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter and Bertha L. Jamieson Paseur; four sisters, Vera Ollie Gray, Virginia Eron Paseur, Annie Lou Paseur and Mattie Rena Paseur Beibers; six brothers, Caleb Franklin, Mills, Charlie, James Austin, Eugene Larkin and Marlin Elmer Paseur.
