Mary Etta McDonald, 85, died June 3, 2008, at Tippah County Hospital. She was born May 28, 1923, in Benton County to Robert Brown and Henrietta Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.
Services were at Holly Springs Funeral Home with burial in Hopewell Cemetery in Ashland.
Survivors included her husband, Hayden McDonald of Ashland; one son, Charles McDonald of Ashland; one daughter, Twala Coomer of Blue Mountain; two brothers, Bobby Brown of Peoria, Ill., and Robert Brown Jr. of Walnut; two sisters, Willie Mae Ray of Ashland and Moudie Bell Britt of Canaan; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
