Inez Johnson Nix, 94, died June 14, 2008 at Dugan Memorial Home. She was born Sept. 24, 1913, in Tippah County to Dallas and Emma Whitlock Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Palmer Baptist Church.
Services were at the United Funeral Home Chapel in New Albany with burial in Martin Cemetery.
Survivors included four daughters, Nora Ruth Gresham (Abner) of New Albany, Kathy Breland (Ricky) of Mathiston, Alice Swords (Luther) and Peggy Jumper, both of New Albany; two sons, Gerald Nix (Jenny) of Myrtle and Burt Nix Jr. (Ann) of West Point; one sister, Lannie Ruth Johnson Robbins of Corinth; nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burt Nix Sr.; two sisters, Pansey Johnson Murry and Ruby Johnson Bozenko; two grandsons, Jerry W. McMillan and Gerald Wayne Nix; two brothers, Larkin U. Johnson and Perrion Johnson.
