William "Charlie" Jenkins, 66, died July 7, 2008, at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Calhoun County. He was a laborer and a Baptist.
Services were at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Burial was in Pittsboro Cemetery.
Survivors included two sisters, Brenda "Tallant" Blaylock of Bruce and Shirley Austin of Ripley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cumber Jenkins and Mary Lou Bowlin Jenkins.
