Billy Thomas Lewellen, 82, died July 5, 2009, at his home in Ripley. He was a retired supervisor for American Biltrite Corp. with 31 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a faithful member of New Hope United Methodist Church.
Services were at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with burial in New Hope Cemetery at Ripley.
Survivors included his wife, Ann Shelton Lewellen of Ripley; two brothers, Nelbert Lewellen of Ripley and Curtis Lewellen (Mary Carolyn) of Amory; and four nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard M. and Lona Barkley Lewellen; and one sister, Nyleen Lewellen McElwain.
