Melissa A. Davidson, 41, died June 3, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Aug. 26, 1966, in Red Bay, Ala., to David and Ann Wooten Ruple. She was a certified nursing assistant at Tishomingo County Living Center for more than 20 years.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with burial in Dennis Memorial Gardens.
Survivors included two sons, Patrick Walden of Iuka and Mathew Young of Tremont; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Davidson of Fulton; one granddaughter, Avin Starr Young of Fulton; her mother, Ann Nunley (Vernon) of Cherokee, Ala.; her father, David Ruple of Dennis; two sisters, Jennie Cleveland (Roy) of Dennis and Amy Snell (Steve) of Tishomingo; four brothers, Randy Ruple (Amy) and Jamie Ruple (Stephanie), both of Dennis, and Ray Nunley (Lisa) and Ritchie Nunley, both of Cherokee, Ala.; her Maw-Maw, Nellie Mae Wooten of Dennis; her husband, Tom Davidson of Iuka; a special friend, Phillip Brents; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Paw-Paws, Nim Wooten and Hubert Ruple, and her Maw-Maw Betty Ruple; an aunt, Rita Box; and a nephew, Nathan Nunley.
