Helen Ruth Hodges-Haley, 57, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a loving wife, a loving and giving mother, a community worker and a proud grandmother.
Services were at St. Peter M.B. Church in Tishomingo with burial at Carters Branch Cemetery in Tishomingo. Grayson’s Funeral Services was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included her husband, Curtis C. Haley; four sons, Kevin Hodges of Indianapolis, Ind., Scott Haley of Hattiesburg, Greg Haley of Red Bay, Ala. and Keary Haley of Corinth; three daughters, Tijuana Haley of Asland, Kimberly Haley-Cooksey and Lucretia Haley, both of Corinth; two sisters, Gernice Powell (John) and Bertie McGaha (Lewis), both of Tishomingo; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edison and Daisy Lee Southward Hodges.
