IUKA - Marvin "Gene" Hannon, 77, died June 27, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He attended Spring Hill United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Lease Way Trucking in Melrose Park, Ill., after 39 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and helping anyone that was in need.
Services were at the Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with burial at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Lillie McKee Hannon of Iuka; one son, David Hannon; five aunts; a host of nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Ruby Hannon.
