Belmont – Vivian Delena Harris Waddle, 93, died May 4, 2009, at Southern Magnolia Estates at Golden. She was born April 28, 1916, in Prentiss County to Andrew and Mittie Swinney Harris. She was a homemaker and the owner of Waddle’s Grocery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belmont.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with burial in Belmont City Cemetery.
Survivors included two daughters, Patricia Sue Williams (Spencer) of Grenada and Lucretia Alexander (Jack) of Belmont; four grandchildren, Cindy Ponder (Rusty) of Brandon, Connie French (Rodney) of Ridgeland, Karla Clement (Clay) of Fishers, Ind., and Van Alexander (Kim) of Hernando; six great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, L.D. Searcy; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Waddle, in 2001; an infant daughter; two brothers, Troy Harris (Quida) and Guy Harris (Audrey); and two sisters, Ona Stacy (Luther) and Nellie Searcy.
