Hi, I'm looking for anywho who might be looking for my gggrandfather Milo W. BARKER b. abt 1814 in NC and died about 1860 in Tishomingo Co., MS. I believe he was married twice (1) Fannie PHILLIPS and (2) Lucinda MURRAY??. He fathered William Columbus BARKER, Robert P. BARKER, Caroline BARKER, Nancy A. (Adeline?) BARKER, Benjamin M. BARKER, Riley A. BARKER, Augustus M. BARKER, Albert Charles BARKER, Franklin L. BARKER, and Samuel B. BARKER.

Part of Fannie PHILLIPS family came to MS from NC. Terral P. PHILLIPS and Jeremiah PHILLIPS are mentioned during the 1840-1850's. There could have been others.

Milo W. BARKER is listed in 1840 Tishomingo Co., MS census, 1850 Tippah Co., MS, and is missing in the 1860 census, but his wife Lucinda BARKER is listed with the children in the 1860 Tishomingo Co., MS census. By 1870 she has moved her family to Henderson Co., TN, and in 1880 she is living in Richland Twp., Monroe Co., AR. Many of the children also ended up in AR. Other descendants moved to TX, OK, and CA while some remained in MS.

I would be happy to share what I've found on this line is you are working on it or see a connection
