TISHOMINGO – Scotty Barnes, 49, died June 13, 2009, in Itawamba County as the result of an automobile accident. He was a police officer with Itawamba Community College. He enjoyed collecting coins, Civil War relics and photography.
Services were at Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with burial in Highland Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Donna Barnes of Tishomingo; his mother, Dorla McAllister of Florence, Ala.; two daughters, Christian Allison (Jessie) and Katelyn Barnes, both of Tishomingo; one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bal Barnes, and his grandmother, Alma Morgan.
