Mrs. Ruth Wood Howell, 54, died February 18, 1973 at her home on Golden, Route 1, in the Fairview Community. Funeral services were held February 19 at the Fairview Baptist Church with burial in the Fairview Cemetery with Senter Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors included her husband, John Howell, Jr.; her mother, Mrs. Mattie Bell Graham of Golden; four sons, Johnnie Wayne, David Eugene, Roger Dale and James Ezell Howell, all of the home; one daughter, Peggy Ann Howell, also of the home; six brothers, Eucellas, Leroy, Shelby, W. C. Graham, Jr., all of Golden, Elvin Graham of Tremont, Eldridge Graham of Kenosha, Wisc.; three sisters, Mrs. Vista Benson of Fulton, Mrs. Earnesteen Wilson of Fulton and Mrs. Lois Beam of Smithville.
