Ivan Raymond Hisaw was born Oct. 13, 1929, at Dexter, the son of Elmer and Mona Irene VanPool Hisaw and died on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at St. John's St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View at the age of 74.
He was married to Helen Delsie Ivy on March 31, 1957, at Tunica, Miss., and to this union two daughters were born.
He owned a grocery story in Savage, Miss., for 12 years and later was self-employed as a carpenter until he retired. He had lived in this area since 1975.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wilburn, of Chicago, Ill.; and one sister, Mabel, of Birmingham, Ala.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; two daughters, Kathy Pike and husband, Bud, and Brenda Burch, both of Mountain View; two brothers, Ray Hisaw of Lake Providence, La., and Glendale Eugene Hisaw of Dexter; and one sister, Alene Bezusko of Garland, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Chapel Hill Cemetery at Mountain View with Bishop John Seeley officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary of Mountain View.
