Services for William Ernest Weaver, an employee of Fulton newspapers for 42 years, were held April 29, 1966 at the chapel of McNeece-Morris Funeral Home with burial in the Fulton Cemetery. Mr. Weaver died April 28, 1966 at the Itawamba Hospital in Fulton, where he had been a patient since suffering a heart attack on April 16th. He was 80. He graduated from the Mississippi School for the Deaf at Jackson in 1924. He was born and reared in the Oakland Community in Itawamba County, the son of Dr. and Mrs. William P. Weaver. He had been deaf since infancy. One of ten children, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Dora Holley, Mrs. Ophie Grady, and Mrs. Mittie Pitts, and two brothers, Dr. N. R. Weaver and Orin Weaver.
Survivors included a brother, John G. Weaver of Tunica; and three sisters, Mrs. Bess Reed of Memphis, Mrs. Mae Hale of Fulton, and Mrs. Elvie Whiteside of Danville, Ky.
