Graveside services for Rowena Rappaport, 90, of Clarksdale, Miss. were held at Beth Israel Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Nov. 21. Mrs. Rappaport, the retired manager and owner of Toy Town toy store, died Nov. 18 at Greenbough Nursing Home. She was borrn on March 6, 1917 in Tallahatchie County to the late Beatrice Hardin and Edgar Floyd Ellingburg. She was a member of Haddasah and Beth Israel sisterhood as well as the Friends of the Carnegie Library, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #3936 and the Clarksdale Downtown Merchants Association.
Mrs. Rappaport is survived by a daughter, Barbara R. Levine of Clarksdale; two sisters, Margaret Abbott of Walls and Eloise (J.C.) Johnson of Glen, Miss.; a brother, Ed Ellingburg of Memphis; a grandson, Michael Saripkin of Sardis and three granddaughters, Michelle Crowder of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Robin Dilworth of Clarksdale and Laurie Levine of Corrales, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Rappaport and brothers, Edgar Floyd Ellingburg Jr., Hollon Ellingburg, Millard Ellingburg, Trenton Ellingburg and Cecil Ellingburg.
