Graveside services for Rebecca Garner Canon, 78, of Tunica were held Feb. 12, 2008 at Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Canon, a retired teacher and librarian, died Feb. 10, 2008 at home.

Survivors included her husband, John Nolen Canon of Tunica; two daughters, Betty Canon Shannon (Lonnie) and Laura Canon, both of Tunica; a son, John Nolen Canon Jr. (Toni) of Tunica, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
