Healso graduated from University of Mississippi with B.S. and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was Baptist. Survivors include his son, Floyd O. James III of Tunica, MS; daughter, Temple Walker James of Germantown, TN; sister, Peggy James Jones ofMemphis, TN;twograndsons.
