Memorial services for Charles E. Tatum was held on May 25, 2008 at Morning Star M.B. Church on Kirby Road in Robinsonville. The repast will be at the G.W. Henderson Rec Center after the services.
Mr. Tatum was born in Robinsonville on Banks Road on August 24, 1947. He lived there until he was old enough to make a life himself. He then went north and later returned to Robinsonville, whereupon this earth, his life ended on May 6, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one goddaughter and her three daughters, all of Michigan; two sisters, Helen Wells (S.G) of Memphis and Mary Tatum Alexander of Robinsonville, Miss.; three brothers, Stenson Tatum (Willie B.) of Chicago, Ill., Robert Tatum (Martha) of Bolivar, Tenn. and Lawerence Tatum of Detroit, Michigan, a host of nieces and nephews and a very special friend and caretaker who went beyond her love to work and care for him.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert, his mother Margaret, and his brother Vernon Tatum.
