Lois Hicks Martin, 84, of Tunica died Sept. 26 at the Allen Morgan Healthcare Center in Memphis. Private graveside services were held on Sept. 29, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Tunica United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Martin was born June 4, 1924 in Lonoke, Ark.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and John Owen of Tunica; a granddaughter, Mary Katherine Owen Redd and her husband, Mitchell Redd; three great grandchildren, Josphenine Redd, Katherine Redd and John Redd, all of Memphis; a step-daughter, Kitty Martin Wheeler of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; five step grandchildren, three nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard M. Martin, her parents, Emma Wilson Hicks and John Howell Hicks, and sisters Ellen Hicks Evatt and Helen Hicks High.
