Helen Belcher Alsbrooks, 91, of Tunica, died March 6, 2009, at the home of her granddaughter, Dr. Whitney Swindoll Raju, in Madison, Miss.
She was born October 10, 1917, in Wisner, Louisiana, to Harrison Freeland Belcher and Rosetta Stevens Belcher. A member of First Baptist Church of Tunica and a retired production supervisor, she was married to Joel Thomas Alsbrooks, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sandra Alsbrooks Young (David) of Laurel, Miss., and Debra Alsbrooks Swindoll (Gerald) of Hernando, Miss. She also leaves three granddaughters and their husbands, Melody Young Easley (Mark) of Laurel, Mississippi, Whitney Swindoll Raju (Ravi) of Madison and Courtney Swindoll Stewart (Frank) of Arlington, Va., along with five great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Lauryn, and Daniel Easley of Laurel, and Rese and Rand Raju of Madison..
Graveside services were held March 10 at Oakwood Cemetery in Tunica.
