I am looking for Charley Beadle his true name was Charles Beitel he came to the US from Germany in 1872. In 1880 he was a widower living in KY sometime between then and 1890 he moved to Tunica, MS. He purchased some land in Dubbs from the Louisville, New Orleans, and Texas Railway Co. in 1890. The payments were $96.00 due March 11th of each year. He made all but the last payment. He worked in Clayton for the railroad. And that is were all the facts we have end. The family never knew of his death. A rumor surfaced that he was murdered. But we just don't know. I went to the Tunica courthouse to the Chancey records and they had very little record books. And the deed was not recorded because the last payment was not paid so we really don't know where the property would have been located. We do have a copy of the deed the last payment would have been made in 1896. So somewhere between 94-96 he died. If someone knows where I can check for records please let me know. This is just one of those dead ends that closure would be good. Please forgive my spelling. Thanks Bev Notify Administrator about this message?
