Edward Eugene Orsborn, 76, of Tunica died April 20, 2009 at Grenada Lake Medical Center in Grenada, Miss. after a long illness. He was born June 14, 1932 in Westmoreland, Kansas. He graduated from Yazoo City High School and Holmes Junior College. In 1959, he graduated from Mississippi State University. He was a veteran of the Korean War. For many years, he worked in engineering and construction in Memphis. Later, he became the building official for Tunica County and served in that capacity until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the Tunica United Methodist Church. Mr. Orsborn is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cordie Lee McAdams Dozier Orsborn; a sister, Marolyn Sue Orsborn Mansfield (Richard) of Winterhaven, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Linda Lee Dozier Keckler and Carol Anne Dozier Smith, both of Memphis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Leroy Orsborn and Jessie Ebersole Thomas Orsborn. A private family service was held on Monday, April 27, 2009 in the rotunda of the West Tennessee Veterans National Cemetery. Notify Administrator about this message?
