Mary Catherine "Cat" Graham Cooper, 73, died April 16, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. She was born July 4, 1934, in Union County to Luther Ellis Voyles and Louie Ann Baty Voyles. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Victory Church in New Albany for 46 years and then was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. Through the years she served her church as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, choir director and soloist.
Services were at United Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Glenfield Memorial Park.
Survivors included her husband, Jimmie D. Cooper of New Albany; one daughter, Shelia Cooper of New Albany; three sons, Michael “Mike” Graham of Myrtle, Luther Alfred “Al” Graham of New Albany and Timothy Dean “Deano” Graham of Apopka, Fla.; one brother, Fred Voyles of Ecru; eight grandchildren, Justin, Casey, Jeff, Carra, Starla, Colton, Spencer and Tate; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Elmer Graham; and two brothers, James "Joe" Voyles and Herman Voyles.
