Clark Elmo Blackwell, 75, died April 25, 2008, at Graceland Care Center in New Albany. He was a retired employee for the City of New Albany and a member of Oak Grove M.B. Church.
Services were at Oak Grove M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery. Beasley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Clara Blackwell of New Albany; one son, Ben Scales of Los Angeles; two stepdaughters, Mary J. Wade and Martha J. Smith (Bennie) of New Albany; one stepson, Roy Lee Wade of Birmingham; two sisters, Rena B. Foster (Leodis) of New Albany and Verna Blackwell Iron of Aurora, Ill.; one brother, Bobby Wayne Blackwell (Nancy) of Aurora, Ill.; two stepgrandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren.
