Edgar Foster died in Clay County. He was born Sept. 10, 1908, in Union County to George and Sarah Foster. He was the husband of the late Mattie Lou Foster. He was a member of St. Mary United Methodist Church and a member of the choir.
A graveside service was held at St. Mary United Methodist Church Cemetery. Beasley Funeral Home was in charge.
Survivors included one daughter, Mary Graham of Aurora, Ill.; one son, Spencer Foster of New Albany; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren.
