Ruby C. Tate, 78, died June 1, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. She was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Union County to Lee Raines and Nelly Welch Raines. She was a retired employee of Piper Impact Inc. and a member of the New Albany Church of God.
Services were at United Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Glenfield Memorial Park.
Survivors included one daughter, Rose Murry (Jackie); one son, Richard D. Tate (Earnesteen); four grandchildren, Sean Tate , Michael Tate, Kristie Murry and Kirby Murry; four great-grandchildren, Johnathan Tate, Brittnie Tate, Makaila Tate and Philip Tate; two sisters, Margie Bailey and Shirley Stanford; one brother, David Raines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Tate.
