Robert “Bob” Lenear, 74, died June 12, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. He was born Dec. 4, 1933, in Kentucky to Grover Lenear and Opal Ferrell Lenear. He was employed in the maintenance department at Ertel. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a Baptist.
Services were at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with burial in Martin Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Stella Cook Lenear of New Albany; two stepdaughters, Linda Garrett (Tiny) and Libby Watson (Ricky), both of New Albany; two sons, Bobby Lenear (Billie) of Kentucky and Mark Lenear (Ann) of New Albany; three stepsons, Thomas Mayo (Edwina) and Freddie Mayo (Deanie), both of Pontotoc, and Danny Mayo (Crystal) of New Albany; five grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
