James Dorsey Goode, 82, died July 12, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Union County. He was born on May 4, 1926, in Hickory Flat to Wilburn Franklin and Lena Belle Whiteside Goode. He was formerly in the dry cleaning and laundry business. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church.
Services were at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Survivors included one sister, Beatrice Spencer of Myrtle; one brother, Curtis Goode of Lakeland, Tenn.; four nephews; two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
