Hello,
My parents (Black) were born and/or raised in Hollandale, MS in the mid-40s and moved to Chicago after graduating from Simmons High. My mother is Lula Washington, the youngest of the family. Her father is George who died Summer of 1980. Her mother, Gertrude, moved to Chicago then with us. My father is Jimmie Love/Norwood who played football at Simmons and lived in Hollandale for a few years. His mother's last name is Love, father is Norwood and I don't believe they were from Hollandale. My mother went back home to Hollandale to have me in Jan 1969. I am looking for any history, pictures, newspaper clippings, etc. of Hollandale, MS during the time my parents and I were born.
