Saw old post on Moody family (like James) that came from Marion, SC. I believe my gr-gr-grandmother (Catherine/Kitty Jackson) came to MS from Marion too. Have marriage bond (1855) for her marriage to William Thompson. Ended up in TX for 1860 census and in Wayne Co., MS in 1870 and Clarke, Co., MS in 1880. I believe Catherine/Kitty came to MS in footsteps of other relatives like Moody and Price families. I'm interested in connecting with anyone regarding this information (or possible leads). FYI: Clarke Co. sheriff was Charles W. MOODY. Oath signed in the presence of Isham MOODY (1845).
