I am looking for information on the Loflin family, Polly was born about 1835I am unsure of how old Jack was. Polly had a son named Scott who was about 18 in 1870. Jack was not his father. they lived next door to a Robert and Betsey Veal. I am working on my family tree and need help. Scott, Polly's son's last name was Ronan, and his father was either very light skinned or white. Scott also stayed in Wilkinson County, and lived not far from Pooly and Jack, in 1880, it is said that Polly's son, Scott had also been shot, in the jaw at some time, and it does show in the picture that I have that he had been shot in the face. It is said that Robert who was married to Betsey ran off at some point and that Scott married her(Betsey), 21 years his senior. In the 1900 census, it shows that the Loflins, Jack or (Jackson) lived in Amite County Ms with Scott. Betsey and Scott broke up and at that time he married a lady named Phyllis(1892) And at some point and time(1895) Scott had a baby by Frances Stafford who at some time and point was married to a Thornton Seaberry in Wilkinson County also, in 1900/1910-is is said that Frances Stafford Seaberry had given birth to 12 kids and that 10 were living at the time--if you have any information please email me at lumpkinoutlaw@yahoo.com.
It is said that in 1910 also, scott and phyllis Ronan lived in Amite County were scott owned or mortaged a farm. Polly was to have had two kids, and grandchildren also, I do not know who other one was. In 1920 in shows that Scott and Phyllis had five young people with them, all now have different surnames, I do not know, but the first names are: Viola, (Landers now I think) Wlater, Merbel, and Laura
