I was stupid and made a typo in my previous posting. It is the 1840 Wilkinson County census that has the mystery man and woman in the household of Joseph Rourk.

The members of the household are:

2 sons under the age of 5 (Patrick Henry & Joseph Emmit)
1 male 20-30, unidentified
1 male 40-50 (Joseph, head of household)
1 daughter under age 5 (Barbara Ellen)
1 daughter 10-15 (Mary Jane)
1 female 20-30, unidentified
1 female 30-40 (Barbara, wife of Joseph)
and some slaves.
