WATER VALLEY - James E. Lawrence, 63, died Friday, July 22, 2005. He was born Nov. 25, 1941, in Yalobusha County. He was a mechanic and bus driver for the Water Valley School System for 35 years before retiring. He was a trustee at Bayson Chapel.
Services were July 27 at Bayson Chapel in Water Valley with the burial in Bayson Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Pam Lawrence of Water Valley; two sons, James B. Lawrence and wife, Linda, of Coffeeville, and Rodney D. Lawrence of Water Valley; a granddaughter, LaKoya Lawrence; his mother, Myrtle Alexander Lawrence; a sister, Lue Bertha Lawrence of Alton, Ill.; two brothers, Ardell Lawrence of Alton, Ill., and George Lawrence of Water Valley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Lawrence.
